I admire the octopus’s ingenuousness. Its ability to be an escape artist, change color to blend in and hide, and its inquisitive and playful nature all speak volumes about this piece and what it conveys to me. I’m placing this with two other pieces I also picked up of colorful octopi. It makes for an eye-catching trio.

It resonates deeply with my emotions and evokes a range of feelings within me. I wish I had the original version because I can only imagine the profound impact it would have had on me. It’s beautiful in the most dynamic sense of the word—it speaks to the profound lows of melancholy and the exhilarating highs of hope that accompany life, yet sometimes feel overwhelming.

I picked up a print of the peacock in Washington state on a trip to Victoria, Canada. Got it professionally framed, and it’s beautiful. I came back for more. Something deep and felt with your work that strikes a chord in me. I purchased several more prints of octopi online, I’m going to frame up for my bathroom. Vapors and a few other prints that truly capture what I take in as freedom, peace… permission to be female with all the feels. I’m hoping to get an original to add to my collection. Love your watercolor work so much!
